Reality Television - I have heard that the next season of ‘Big Brother’ is going to be its last & that they have torn down the house to build a bigger one. The cast will be All-Stars. Alison Grodner & Arnold Shapiro are going their separate ways & neither wants to do this show on their own. Bummer. ‘American Idol’ is coming back January 18th & ‘The Bachelorette’ with Jen will being January 10th.

Survivor Vanuatu - Yasur won the next 2 challenges. Reward had them going through an obstacle course filling up a jug with coconut juice. Their prize was a “Home Café”, which was just a tie in to a coffee maker with that name. They got to go have coffee & croissants, see pictures of their families & get letters from home. They also got to bring the coffee maker back to their camp. Rory knew his neck was on the chopping block so before the IC he went to Amy & Leann & wanted them to insure him that he would at least last longer than Eliza. Amy is all cocky & said there is a woman alliance. Tell that to Lisa. So Rory is pissed. But he is saved by winning Immunity, which was all Rory’s doing. It was a sling shot challenge. Lopevi had been getting sick of John K’s laziness. John tried to get people to take out Chad since he has one leg & will get sympathy votes if he makes it to the end. Julie tricked Twila by telling her the guys had also come to her & promised her F4 like they did Twila. So now Twila doesn’t trust the guys & is solid with Julie. John’s work doesn’t pay off & he was voted out. The next reward had them throwing water from buckets & they had to fill their final bucket so that it would drop & the first one to do that won cookies, cake & milk. Lopevi won. The tribes merged after that & became ALINTA. That means we are the fire or people of the fire. Julie had been whoring herself with Sarge before the merge & now she was right back under Queen Amy’s thumb. The guys wanted Amy to go cuz they knew she was the boss. Immunity was another water challenge where they had to swim & be the first to get all 3 flags to shore. SARGE won it. Julie & Twila decided not to go with the men & RORY was voted out. The next Reward was trivia about the local culture. The guys were knocked out right away. Leann won & chose Julie to go with her in a chopper to have a picnic on a dormant volcano. Eliza was pissed off cuz Twily & Scout took her out of the competition. When Leann & Julie came back they had smuggled some chicken wings back but only gave them to the girls & they his it from the guys. They then gave them the bones like it was a nice gesture. Immunity was a memory puzzle thing. Amy won. It was finally revealed that Julie totally betrayed Twila by telling her the guys had promised her Final 4 & got Twila to turn on the guys. The guys thought they had a chance by getting Twila & Eliza to vote with them. But it didn’t happen & Sarge was voted out. Even his tribemate Chris turned on him & voted him out. I missed most of the next episode as I was helping my son with his homework. So I only half paid attention to it. The Reward Challenge had them in groups that were tied together in an obstacle course… I think. Amy, Eliza, Scout & Chris won. They got to take the pig to the village & got another one in return. Then they had food & drink with the villagers & the kids sang them a song they learned in English. Immunity was an endurance challenge where they had to hang onto a pole as long as they could. Chad hung in there until it was just him & Twila but she hung on longer to win Immunity. Scout has had it with Eliza & wanted her out. But Queen Amy wanted only girls on her island. Her minions did her bidding & took out Chad. Even Twila & Scout voted him out. Surprisingly, Chris did NOT vote him out. So it is only Sarge he stabbed in the back… so far. But the preview for next week showed him telling the minions that Scout & Twila tried to form an alliance with him & Chad so the girls would turn on each other. I have only mildly been interested this season & this does it for me. Chad was the only one left that I liked so now I have no one to root for. This is on Thursdays at 7pm CST on CBS.

$25 Million Dollar Hoax - This is another show that I don’t know if I will watch the last episode. This show is extremely cruel. I don’t mind messing with the people who sign up for their 15 minutes on reality shows, but their families didn’t. So this show had me cringing at times. A girl has to pretend that she has won an Internet lottery of at least $5 million & that she is spending all the money on herself only. She has a big family of 6 brothers who are all excited when Ed McMahon comes to the door to announce her win. They are then whisked off to a hotel where she proceeds to spend over a thousand dollars on ugly clothes for herself while the saleswoman is ignorant to her brother’s girlfriend. Then she goes with her Dad & brothers to a car dealer where she proceeds to buy herself a Hummer with all the add-ons she can get. She did offer to buy her Dad a USED Cadillac. I personally don’t think the money she wins is worth being that ignorant to her family. She gets UP TO $400,00 in cash & PRIZES for her whole family to split. Some people will do anything to get on TV I guess. Next episode she gets her hair done at Jonathon’s [he had his own reality show, ‘Blow Out’] while her family goes to Super Cuts or whatever. Then Chrissy flies her family in a private jet for a Rodeo Drive spending spree. Then she takes everyone to a recording studio cuz she will try to be a pop star even though she can’t sing. To make it more real, they had Lance Bance from N’SYNC there. Her brother’s girlfriend got all pissy cuz she wants to be a country singer & thought Chrissy was being selfish. She said her career won’t be bought yet she was all bitchy cuz Chrissy wasn’t buying it. Totally hypocritical I thought. Next stop was a plastic surgeon. Daddy thought she would get his lasik but instead she wanted implants. The final stop was to look at million dollar homes. Her Dad & brother didn’t want her to spend that kind of money cuz they could build her a home like it at a fraction of the cost & at the same time it would start a business for them. We have to wait till the next episode to see her tell them she is buying one. Now she had to spend the full $5 million & her whole family had to be present at the big spin for them to get the $400,000. This is on Mondays at 9pm CST on NBC.

Amazing Race - Yay! The best reality show is back! They kicked off in Chicago coming in on speed boats & then met at Buckingham Fountain. They then had to find the blue line train to go to O’Hare. I am bummed they didn’t do any challenges here but oh well. I think this season has the most annoying guy ever. Jonathon. He is an entrepreneur & is teamed with his wife. He just bitches at her constantly & throws fits. Don’t like him. At. All. There is also a team of married pro-wrestlers who just scream at each other all the time too. From O’Hare they had to fly to Iceland. They had some trouble with the flights cuz they connected on the East Coast & there was a hurricane. They had to find their next clue at a waterfall. A few teams missed the waterfall & it cost them a lot of time. Next they had to go to the tallest glacier. Hayden & Aaron tricked Meredith & Maria into following them so they missed the waterfall & had to go back. At the glacier they had to sign up for transportation the next day by picking a tent that had the times on it. They ranged from 10am to 11:30am. The next morning they had a Detour & had to decide between climbing up the glacier or getting on a boat & looking for the clue in a 7 square mile span in a lagoon. Most teams chose the climb while Avi & Joe went for the search. The annoying Jonathon & Victoria also went for the search but they found the clue quickly. A&J didn’t. It cost them a lot of time. Now it was a race to the Pit Stop where 1 team WOULD be eliminated. Adam & Rebecca stopped for gas & she stupidly didn’t read the cap that said DIESEL. So now they had to get someone to drain out the gas. But they still finished the race in time. It was Avi & Joe that came in last & were eliminated. This is on Tuesdays at 8pm CST on CBS.

America's Next Top Model - Cassie is a slob & instead of telling her to clean up after herself Ann decides to use a knife & carve into the top of Cassie’s brownies “Clean your shit”. Eva egged it on. Cassie sees it & goes around the house asking if they did it. Everyone says they didn’t. Later at dinner the girls talk about how immature it was & Cassie & Ann get into a tiff after Ann finally admits it was her. Ann keeps it mature by saying she will tell on Cassie to Tyra that she is bulimic. Cassie laughed & said she already told her. Cassie is not getting along with any of the girls & tells her boyfriend she doesn’t want to be there. The girls had to go through a boot camp & then had to run up 14 flights of stairs while timed. The one who was fastest would get to spend the night on the roof at a spa. When they got to the top they then had to have a surprise photo shoot to see how they pose when tired. YaYa won & chose Tocarra to stay with her. The rest had to walk home. Their next shoot had them jumping on a trampoline. YaYa tried to do the exact opposite of her dancer instincts & didn’t do well. She was pissed that Amanda did do dancer poses & was deemed the best. Tyra had Ann & Kelle as the final 2 girls as they both aren’t photogenic. They cut Kelle cuz they think Ann has a little more potential. The girls went on a bunch of “go sees” with designers. They were told to bring comfortable shoes & heels. Amanda forgot the heels so stopped between jobs to buy a pair. Some girls went with her. The ones who didn’t took the van to the next stop. So when the group was done shopping they had no ride & no idea where to go. They finally get there but are 20 minutes late. Tocarra has trouble this time cuz the designers don’t have clothes for her full body figure & it affected her confidence. Ann finally did well. The girl that got the most points after being rated by the designers would win a rack of clothes & Ya Ya won & chose Nicole to share it with her. Cassie was still looking for any reason not to be there. She wasn’t happy at all. Her boyfriend & Mother both wanted her to stay & give her all. But she didn’t like being told by a designer that she has big hips & butt. & her boyfriend told her he wouldn’t leave Oklahoma & go to N.Y. with her if she won. The judges knew she didn’t want to be there so she was cut. The next photo shoot had them posing with a tarantula. This freaked out Diva Eva. But she still did it & her picture was pretty good. Ya Ya won the challenge though & got to pick someone to share her gourmet dinner & she chose Norelle cuz Norelle had said Ya Ya had a wall up. Tocarra continued her downward spiral cuz the designers didn’t have clothes that fit her. Ann & Tocarra were the 2 girls at risk to be eliminated & Tocarra was the one to go. Next they had to act. WITH TAYE DIGGS [this was just a way for UPN to promote his show that follows ANTM.] Not only did they have to try to act with this hot guy, they had to read a lot of medical jargon without rehearsing. The scene was the woman in a hospital bed dying. Ya Ya won the task & her prize? They were going to Tokyo & she got to fly 1st class. She chose Amanda to go with her as she has already chosen Nicole & Norelle so thought it was Amanda’s turn. In Tokyo they had to act in a commercial for Campbell Soup… in Japanese. Eva did horribly & she told Ann she hopes someone who has had bad pictures in the past would get the boot over her this week. This pissed Ann off cuz this meant her or Norelle & she thought the 3 of them were tight. Eva hoped for Norelle to suck & she did. Amanda’s ego is getting bigger. As is Ya Ya’s. Twice this episode people have forgotten about Nicole. So you knew she was a goner. When they met the judges they had another test, another commercial. They had to eat something disgusting in it. Ya Ya spit it out & the judges thought that was extremely disrespectful. Ya Ya & Nicole were the last 2 girls but it was Nicole who was cut. Tyra told Ya Ya to go get some humble pie. This is on Wednesdays at 7pm CST on UPN.

The Apprentice - The next task had them doing ads to recruit people to the NYPD. Andy was PM for Mosaic & Elizabeth for Apex. Apex did not like the way Elizabeth led. She was totally indecisive. The team wanted to go with a military theme & she did not. She came up with something else late at night with Kevin but then the next morning the team didn’t like it so she switched again. This pissed Kevin off. In the end Elizabeth was right & the military theme was rated the worst of the 2 & Elizabeth didn’t even get to pick 2 people to bring to the boardroom as Trump fired her on the spot for being such a horrible leader. The next task had them renovating homes on Long Island to increase what it could make. The first 4 people fired got to come back to help, Rob, Bradford, Stacie & Jennifer. Raj was a PM & he decided to listen to Kevin & use the contractor he recommended. He also decided to take a 4 bedroom house & make it 3 by adding a bathroom. Kevin’s contractor really sucked & the bathroom was never completed. Raj’s team lost & Trump continued with the tradition of firing the failing PM. The next task I feel was totally unfair. They had to run a bridal salon & the team that sold the most dresses would win. Mosaic had a ringer, Sandy, who owns her own bridal salon. She knew exactly what to do & how to market it. Maria was in charge of marketing since she always claims it is her area & Sandy told her the website to contact so they would email brides. When the email went out it did not have their telephone number on it & that could have been bad. Meanwhile Apex was a total disaster. Their PM, Chris, was a defeatist from the start. Apex got their asses kicked as Apex made 12 times what they did. Mosaic got to go to a jeweler & get $50,000 worth of jewelry. Chris only brought Ivana & Kevin into the boardroom. This angered them both as they thought Jennifer has skated by. Trump thought they all sucked but fired Chris. The next task was making a in-store catalog for Levi’s Jeans. Wes would be the PM for Mosaic & Kevin for Apex. Since Apex was down a member, Mosaic had to pick someone to go to the other team. Wes chose Kelly. Kelly thinks it is cuz he has Immunity & Wes knows he can’t beat him. Ivana came up with an idea of a wheel for the catalog to show that there is a cut of jeans for everyone. Jen just didn’t get it. Kevin decided people don’t want to see models all the time & decided to have the team pose as they look different & like average America. Mosaic had professional models & once again Maria thought she was the only one capable of doing the job & she took the reigns. She was taking way too much time & too many pictures. Andy tried to step in & she would have none of it. Wes got a little cajones but then Maria was a total bitch & told him to get out of her face. He wimped out. Carolyn looked pissed. Maria & Sandy got into a fight cuz Maria wouldn’t let her look at the project. Meanwhile Apex had to deal with Jen not understanding anything they were doing. Eventually Kevin gave her busy work just to get her out of their hair. Ivana is the one who came up with all the good ideas & when they presented the project to Levi’s President, Jen jumped in & took credit for the project. Apex won the task & when Trump asked the Pres who did the best job, he fell for Jen’s act & chose her. Apex prize was they got to meet Billy Joel’s at his show on Broadway & he told them about taking risks. Maria was out to get Wes fired & told Andy & Sandy that if they tried to pin everything on her it will just make them look like they were asleep at the wheel. In the boardroom Maria attacked Wes’ leadership & blamed everything on him. Wes chose to bring all 3 back into the boardroom. Carolyn & Bill both told Trump that Wes didn’t lead well. Back in the boardroom, Maria went after Wes some more. Andy agreed that Wes was a bad leader. So Trump fired BOTH Maria AND Wes. I am just happy Maria is finally gone. & Wes did let Maria walk all over him so he deserved to be fired too. So I agree with this call. This is on Thursdays at 8pm CST on NBC.

The Bachelor - Jayne isn’t as touchy feely as the rest of the girls so they talk behind her back. When Jayne walks in the room they all stop talking & later when Jayne gets all pissy about the girls, they don’t know why she isn’t their bestest buddy. Jayne leaves the room after Cyndi takes a shot at her [verbally] & goes to Byron’s. Mary gets worried & the girls go looking for her. Andrea is the only girl though who remotely likes Jayne. & then she was cut along with Jayne. Jayne felt that Byron lied to her cuz she thought he was interested & then he cut her. Byron took his remaining ladies on overnight dates. Cyndi pissed him off by asking about his ex-wife. Mary was all needy & emotional as usual. Cheresse was the only one who didn’t sleep with him so he cut her. Yeah maybe he will say he didn’t cut her for that reason, but it looked bad. Bryon went to the Final 3’s hometowns. Mary continued her emotional ways & is afraid of getting hurt like she did by Bob. Byron is sick of being punished for something someone else did. & what did Bob do anyway? She went on a reality show looking for a husband where she had to compete against other women & didn’t get chosen. Bob didn’t do anything to her. Cyndi is taking this very seriously & asked Byron more intense questions. She wants him to be as serious about her as she is about him. Mary told Byron if she makes it to the next round where he meets their parents she doesn’t think she wants him to meet hers cuz she wants to protect them after what happened with Bob. He gave the final 2 roses to Needy Mary & Tanya. I thought for sure it would by Cyndi but I guess she asked way too many questions. He said he had fun with her but didn’t see a lifetime relationship. This show has gotten harder & harder for me to watch cuz the people just aren’t likable to me. I don’t think there was one girl this season I genuinely liked & could root for. It has just been so boring. The Women Tell All was relatively boring too IMO. Jayne apologized for her behavior. Cyndi was still hurt that she was cut. Cheresse was extremely bitter thinking he cut her cuz she wouldn’t sleep with him in the fantasy suite. He said it wasn’t cuz of sex but that she turned down spending 8 hours alone with him. And women got to take shots at Krysta for all the talking she did behind everyone’s backs. Bachelor Jay got to come back at the end for a quick hello. The 2 hour finale is next week at 7pm CST followed by ‘After the Final Rose’. This is on Wednesdays at 8pm CST on ABC.

Battle of the Sexes 2 - The next challenge just had me giggling. They put a cellphone in a big block of ice. They had to melt the ice to get the phone & make a call. So think porno movie at girls in bikinis & guys in tight bike shorts get on top of each other & hump the ice. Tonya went all out by putting hot rocks in her mouth. I would think this isn’t the nastiest thing she has put in her mouth. She is really Ho’ing it up this season as we saw her all over Theo. The men won again. The girls team continued their catty ways as the “veterans” think they are better than the “newbies”. Kina was voted out but the newbies are sick of being bossed around. The guys voted out Adam saying it was cuz of his prior DQ. Which is BS cuz even thought he was DQd on Dangle Drop, so was Mike & Adam’s time was longer than Mike’s. So it shows that the guys are doing the same as the girls & only thinking the ones who make a living doing these challenges are the only ones worthy of being there. The next challenge was like Fear Factor & they had to eat nasty stuff. The guys kicked ass again. The women dumped Ayanna cuz she is really unstable & hard to deal with. The guys cut Abram cuz he had been DQd twice. We saw more of Abram & Coral’s relationship. Just so odd to me. The next challenge had them choose from a pile of items in order to build a bloat & then paddle to the finish line. Angela offered to be team leader & then pussed out. The women finally won & since Angela wasn’t a leader she was vulnerable. Instead the Inner Circle eliminated Cynthia for previously saying that she would never step up & be a leader. This infuriated many of the girls who wanted Angela out. The guys decided it was between Derrick & Mike cuz both have DQ’d. They decided to take out Derrick. The next challenge was a quick draw thing w/ paint ball guns. The team leaders would be worth the most points. They used cards to determine value. The guys creamed the girls once again. Angela had stepped up to be a leader this time so they took the opportunity to take her out. The guys got rid of Shawn. This is on Mondays at 9pm CST on MTV.

The Benefactor - The series ended with 2 episodes put into one. We didn’t get to see the one where Mark visited the final 3’s homes & they only showed when he went to Linda’s house cuz she was totally busted in a million lies. She had portrayed herself as needing money for her ailing mother. Turns out she lives in a nice suburb in a huge house with a flat screen TV. Mark was pissed that she misrepresented herself. So she was cut. The final 2 were Femia & Dominic. First he let them both think they had lost & then watched as they had to do press as a loser. Both of them took their loss fairly well & neither ripped the other apart. In the end, FEMIA was declared the winner of the million dollars.

The Biggest Loser - The next challenge had them having to work a bake sale. Not only that, they had to make all the goodies. The team that sold the most got a day at the spa & choose what member of blue team’s weight would not be counted at the weigh in since they had one person extra. After the sale Caroline surprised them saying that the first team to have licked or ate anything would lose 50% off their money. But neither team succumbed to temptation. Blue team won but lost the weigh in. Everyone was really upset that after such huge losses the week before, they only lost 1, 2 or 3 pounds. Some like Lizzeth didn’t lose any. & the biggest loser of the previous week, Matt, actually GAINED 3 pounds. Ryan immediately targeted Lizzeth for the same reason Dana got the axe the week before. She doesn’t have as much fat to lose as the rest of them. I think this is BS cuz yeah they may have more weight to lose than her, they aren’t fricking doing it. Kelly wanted Dave out cuz Lizzeth was busting her ass while he pussed out on his workouts. Matt followed along w/ the guys saying even though he was the only one to gain weight, he had the potential to lose more than Lizzeth. So the guys all voted Lizzeth out & Kelly & Lizzeth voted for Dave. If Lisa tied it then Red Team would decide. I ASSUME Lisa didn’t want to put up with the possibility of voting against Dave & him not going so she went along w/ the masses & voted out Lizzeth. Their next challenge was to perform a song they wrote about being overweight. The winner got a meal by a professional chef. The loser would lose their trainer until after the weigh-in. Red team won the challenge & the weigh-in. Blue continued with their guys against the girls. Aaron had lost the most weight but he is also the most arrogant. They planned to go after Kelly but Gary didn’t want to vote her out. Now Gary & Mo should have been the 2 at risk. Gary has an injured knee & doesn’t work as hard as everyone else. Mo is the biggest guy & he has lost next to nothing. Drea wanted to vote Aaron out cuz he had bragged how he has lost more than half his goal & he could do this at home. Aaron & Gary voted against Drea & the 2 women voted against Arrogant Aaron. It came down to Mo & he went against his boys & voted out Aaron. Aaron got even cockier if that is possible & said they can’t do it without him. I say good riddance. I am starting to believe that Blue Crew trainer Bob had the hots for Arrogant Aaron. He went ballistic on his team when he found out that Aaron was gone. He blamed the girls for it & made them work harder cuz of it. Meanwhile Gary & Mo had “injuries” so they didn’t have to participate. Bob kept bitching that they took out their biggest loser. I don’t know what he expected the girls to do. The guys had an alliance & were picking off all the women. Aaron was the king of the guys. They went after the power. Yes Mo SHOULD have been the one out but Aaron only wanted to target the girls & it was his downfall. Bob bitched at Mo too for not following his directions. Everyone was tempted with cupcakes & the one who ate the most in 15 minutes would get to have dinner with a loved one. Ryan came up with a good plan of first having everyone who did NOT want to do it step back. Then the 5 people who did drew a piece of paper – one of which would have a black dot. If you got the dot, you would eat one cupcake & win. This way everyone doesn’t ruin their diet. Dave won & got to see his wife. The challenge this week had them racing up 74 floors of the tallest building west of the Mississippi. Mo & Gary could not compete due to injuries. So that meant only 2 people could compete on Red team. Matt & Lisa were chosen. Almost halfway up Lisa had a panic attack. She couldn’t finish the race & was taken to the hospital. So Blue Crew won & got a chopper ride around L.A. Mo refused to go. Blue also got to choose which of Red had to sit out the weigh in. They chose Matt. Ryan lost more than Matt but in the end, Blue still lost more weight as Mo finally stepped up & lost 14 pounds. Dave had been a big baby & wasn’t working out cuz his ankle hurt. He & Jillian got into it. Then he played the guys against the girls so he wouldn’t be a target. Matt voted Lisa out cuz she is negative & lost them the challenge. Everyone else voted Matt out cuz they are annoyed by him. This is on Tuesdays at 7pm CST on NBC.

Laguna Beach - Anyone else sick of the phrase “whatever happens in ___, stays in ____”? The spoiled rich kids get to spend spring break in Cabo & Kristin whored it up, pole dancing on top of the bar & making out with Sam in front of Stephen. He didn’t do anything but yell “whore” at her. & he hung out w/ his #2, Lauren. Stephen & Kristin get back together & go to a Blink 182 concert & Lauren was there as well. Kristin ignored Lauren. I don’t get Lauren at all. She is totally hooked on Stephen but he wants Kristin. The next episode was the Senior Prom. Now, I am not a prom person & don’t get all the fuss about it. The guys have to go to extreme lengths to impress the girl he asks. Stephen asked Kristin by 1st being a secret admirer that spelled her name wrong. He took Kristin to prom & a hotel room afterward while Lauren talks about putting a picture of herself & Stephen up in her dorm when she goes to college. I don’t know why I continue to watch this show. I must be too old cuz these kids annoy the crap out of me. A group of them go to Catalina for a camping trip. So its just more of Stephen with Kristin & Lauren pining for him. She was all pissed off the whole trip. Stephen tried to scare all the girls one night by wearing a bear suit. Kristin was not amused. Lauren’s friend wasn’t allowed to go since guys were sleeping over so she stayed home & went on a bad date. Another girl had to sing at church for her reverend father. The thing about this episode that stood out to me is the guy Dieter WAY over plucked his brows. This on Tuesdays at 9:30pm CST on MTV.

My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss - I can’t guarantee how long I will watch this show as I stopped watching its predecessor pretty quick. This show basically makes fun of ‘The Apprentice’. The boss is fake & just has to be a big jerk. The first task had them panhandling & the team that won the most money got to sleep at the hotel on a bed of money. Oh & the teams got to name their rival & they were supposed to sabotage them. The women named the men “Concad” or something lame like that. The men named the women “Femron”. The women won & the men had to sleep in tents like homeless people under the El. When in the boardroom, the “boss” said this is like real life & the boss is not fired first. So he was safe. Some time during the season we will find out who the real boss is & it is supposedly a shock. Whatever. The next task had them selling hot soup on a humid July day in Chicago. Trust me. I like in Chicago & we get some pretty damn humid days here & soup would be the last thing you’d want. They also sabotaged them by having an Italian Ice cart follow them to compete for customers. The men won the task & Kerry & Christy? [I can’t remember names now] had to go to the boardroom & Christy was fired. This is on Sundays at 8pm CST on FOX.

Nanny 911 - Interesting show. Parents who suck at parenting are able to call “Nanny 911” for help. The nannies all remind me of Mary Poppins with their accents & then they wear a cape/ coat thing that is red w/ a school crest-like logo on it which reminds me of Harry Potter. The first set of parents have 2 kids, Natalie & Dylan, who rule their Mom. She just wants to be a nurturer & not a disciplinarian. The Dad didn’t have much to do with the kids as Mom overruled him. Mom had not slept with Dad in about 6 years cuz Dylan wanted her & whatever her kids wanted, they got. Including 2 & ½ year-old Natalie still using a bottle. Dylan would hit his family & curse at them. Mom didn’t know the meaning of the word “no”. Nanny came in & it was hard getting Mom to follow the program. She didn’t like seeing her kids cry & get upset. She didn’t realize that kids LIKE structure & it is good for them. Natalie put her feet on the dinner table & Dad told her not to or she would go to her room. Here comes Mom with excuses that they should just let her do it cuz she didn’t feel good. Dad did it his way & Natalie had to go to her room screaming. But it worked & she calmed down. At the end of the week Nanny finally got Mom to let Dylan sleep alone. The family seems to be better now that Mom lets Dad be a parent too. The Nannies gave the parents a gift for their 10th anniversary of a Caribbean trip on a boat that had its own nannies. The next family had 5 unruly boys. Again, the fault was squarely on the parents who never attempt any kind of order. After watching ‘Wife Swap’ & then this, these boys actually NEEDED “the whacker”. They would run wild around the house & hurt each other while the parents, or should I say the Mother, would yell at them. Dad would say things like, “Your Mom doesn’t want you to do that.” & then he would let them do it. Nanny tried to instill time outs as punishment & the oldest boy in his time out would just jump on the couch & he even got off it to go stare at the timer. I’m sorry but that is not completing the time out. He has to sit there & not do anything for his 9 minutes or he will stay there. The younger kids would freak out in their car seats so Nanny had the parents bring them in so the kids could get more used to them. Mom scoffed at this & made fun of it but it did help the kids tremendously. Another problem was eating together at the table. The kids would just end up under the table. Mom would just do nothing cuz if she had to deal with it her dinner would be cold. Whatever. At the end they were able to go to a family anniversary dinner & the monsters behaved. Nanny Deb was up again for the next case. The family had 5 boys from 2 pregnancies – a set of triplets & a set of twins. The boys were out of control & got to eat junk food all day. Nanny came in & put a lock on the pantry & made the parents be consistent in the discipline. The Dad didn’t like it at first cuz all he would do is yell at the kids & Nanny didn’t want him yelling. In the end they boys were “brothers for life”. Nanny gave them season tickets to the Colts, a computer & “brothers for life” t-shirts. I did notice that Nanny had an earpiece. I don’t know if it is a hearing aid or if she is being fed lines. This is on Wednesdays at 8pm CST on FOX.

Real World Philadelphia - Landon really likes Shavonda & she likes him. That is until he gets drunk. He becomes really obnoxious & she has had enough. But she later tells him & hopefully that will get him to stop drinking so much so often. Melanie continues to be annoying by finding a bar she likes to go to without the cast & won’t even tell anyone the name of it cuz she doesn’t want them there. I didn’t really pay attention to the next episode. This cast really isn’t interesting to me. Shavonda read her boyfriend’s email & saw he had booked a flight to visit his ex. Landon’s ex came to visit. That is all I remember. The next episode is more of Shavonda & her on again/ off again boyfriend Shaun & her flirtation with Landon. Landon just so reminds me of “Drunk Girl” on ‘Saturday Night Live’. He wants Shavonda so bad but she is hooked on Shaun & spends all day on the phone with him. Landon is sick of waiting for her so he brings home a one night stand & does her in the shower. Shavonda is repulsed by this & Landon thinks it is cuz she is jealous. I don’t know if she is jealous or not. I know I think one-night-stands are sleazy & I would be grossed out by one in my shower too. The other storyline was poor MJ was stood up at a Bday party when he was a kid so his friend Will & Sarah try to make this one special. Sarah makes him breakfast in bed [which he gave Will since he wasn’t hungry] & they go out to a bar that night [where Landon finds his ONS]. The party continues at home where MJ unleashes his alter ego – Muja Star the superhero. Muja is what Willie says how you would pronounce MJ & the star is for his star tattoo on his back. Muja gets into some tight undies w/ a cape & a mask from the pin the tail on the donkey game his Dad sent him for his Bday & runs around the house. Ugh. The next episode pissed me off. Willie brings home some friends late at night & they all talk about what a pig sty the place is. The next day Sarah spends 4 hours cleaning it by herself. That night Landon comes home, drunk as usual, & he is being loud. Sarah asked him to be quiet & also has to throw in how she cleaned the house. This makes Landon pissed off cuz he heard Willie & his pals last night calling all the HGs slobs so he argues with her. She runs off to cry to Willie & then calls up MJ to whine to him too. They had a report to do for work & Melanie, Shavonda, MJ & Landon all go off to the office to complete it the night before it is due. Apparently Landon told Willie that everything was covered. So then Willie, Sarah & Karamo all stay home & bitch about not being able to contribute. Did any of them ever think to get off their ass & go help? No. So stop your whining. The next day Willie & Karamo are late to work. This is not the 1st time for Karamo. Yet they all want to attack Landon for doing the work they didn’t do. & it wasn’t only Landon that did the work. But he has become their whipping boy cuz he doesn’t stand up for himself. This is on Tuesdays at 9pm CST on MTV.

The Rebel Billionaire - definitely like Richard Branson more than Donald Trump. He really seems to empathize with the people. This show is like ‘The Apprentice’ in that a rich guy is testing people for a position in their company. Branson says that the winner will be President of all his Virgin companies. The tasks in this one though are actually dangerous & he doesn’t expect them to do anything he won’t do as well. Their first elimination came after Branson disguised himself as the cab driver & cut 2 people that didn’t treat him well. The first task had them walk a plank between 2 hot air balloons. The balloons would have to separate at a certain point & the people left in the one would be up for elimination. The team leader decided against sending the one girl first that was scared. She & another guy weren’t able to make it across in time so they then had to climb to the top of the balloon & have English tea with Branson. The way he cuts people now is everyone is boarding an Atlantic flight & the 2 up for elimination are last. Branson hands them both a ticket & one will get them on this flight & the other back to America. The lawyer guy was eliminated. They flew to Hong Kong next & were divided into guy vs. girl teams. They had to select leaders & after that Branson told them the guy leader would lead the women & vice versa. Their task was they had $500 & 24 hours to come up with something for the passengers on the plane that Virgin didn’t already supply. The women went with a morning after kit that had lotion, breath mints & so on. The men went with a pillow, mirror & fortune cookies with funny fortunes that were Virgin related. While in Hong Kong Branson had given them all a note to visit the largest Buddha on an island. The girl’s team went but the guys didn’t. At the end Branson liked the guys idea better. The girl’s leader, Jermaine, had to pick one woman to be up for elimination with him. He tried to talk to Candida about the problems she caused but she wouldn’t shut up so he decided to pick her. The challenge had them wind walking. At this point I noticed that both stunts were things done on ‘Road Rules’. I saw at the end that this is a Bunim/ Murray Production so that is why there is all the recycled stunts. Anyway, since Jermaine is so big he can’t walk on the plane’s wing so he would have to pick a representative & if she lost he would go home. He chose Erica who was Candida’s biggest rival. The 2 women had to pick which one of them would stand on the wing while it went upside down & pass a baton to the other one standing on another plane. Erica stepped up & took the more difficult task. If they failed to pass the baton they would both be eliminated. They got only 2 tries & completed it on the 2nd one. But at the end, neither Candida or Jermaine were eliminated cuz one woman didn’t want to risk her life with any of these stunts & would rather quit & let someone continue that would do them. Nicole was named the leader of the guys & Gabriel for the women. The task was to jump across a ravine. One person would be the catcher & the rest would jump one by one & as it progressed the catcher would move farther out. Jermaine was the catcher for the men & Gabriel for the women. Shawn & Candida didn’t make it & had to bungee fall. It looked terrifying to me. Candida got hurt. They ended typing so they had to pick their best jumpers to go again. Each team had to pick how far they thought they could jump. The team that picked the shortest distance would have to go 1st & if they missed, they lost. The men picked the least & Steve jumped & made it. Erica jumped for the women & also made it so the women won the task. Richard had said he would never make them do something he wouldn’t so he attempted the jump with Gabriel catching. He didn’t make it. Nicole was the leader for the losing team so she would have to pick one guy to go up against in the next task. She got the team together to talk it out & all the guys said they would pick Shawn cuz he was the only guy not to make the jump. Well all the guys but Jermaine who pussed out on naming names. So Nicole listens to all this & then chose Sam anyway. What a bitch. The task was to fall down Victoria Falls in a barrel. It had never been tested & would be a World Record. When they were asked to sign an extra waiver, Nicole started asking a ton of questions & then backed out. Sam decided to do it & Richard went in the barrel with him. But this ended up being a trick & Richard was only testing to see who would realize you would die & not take the risk. Nicole gloated at dinner on how she is so smart to ask questions. Richard eliminated Sam. The guys are really pissed at Nicole. Except Shawn of course. This is on Tuesdays at 7pm CST on FOX.

Surreal Life - Do you remember the show ‘Fear’ on MTV? They would take a bunch of kids [the annoying Holly from the last ‘Big Brother’ was on one] & put them in alleged haunted places & make them do various tasks in the dark to scare the shite out of them. ‘Surreal Life’ decided to do one of these episodes with their “celebrities”. & as usual, Ryan was a bitch & wouldn’t do anything & whined about it. I missed the “Dirty Laundry” episode. The finale had people trying to get Ryan & Flavor to be friends but it just wasn’t working. Then they had an episode to recap the best & worst moments of the season but it was boring. The new season begins January 9th & the cast is Adrianne Curry [America’s Next Top Model], Da Brat [rapper], Chynna Doll [former wrestler], Marcus Schenkenburg [model], Jane Weidlin [guitarist from The Go Gos], Christopher Knight [Peter Brady] & Verne Troyer [Mini Me].

The Swan - After an one-hour update episode that let us take a look at last season’s Swans, we had our first 2 new candidates. Kimberly grew up with her Godmother & at age 14 she went into her room & found her dead. She had to live with friends each year after that. She has since married & had 4 kids. Jennifer was in a house fire when she was 6. Her Mom was not there & she has a lot of anger towards her. She had burns on her face & body & was teased as a kid. Kim struggled a bit with her diet & exercise while Jennifer had to deal with her kids, whom she rarely spent time away from due to thinking they could be in a fire, would call her & tell her how much they missed her & wanted her home. In the end, they both looked fantastic. I think even better than most of last season. I thought a lot of last year’s girls looked kind of alien & bizarre after their cheek implants & so on. Both these ladies looked natural & very beautiful. I knew Jennifer would win just cuz of her fire story. Plus she had more of a positive attitude. I missed the 2nd episode cuz I was with my husband in the Emergency Room. The 3rd episode had 2 women who had been overweight & then worked to lose it but didn’t lose it all. One girl had a lot of flab left over & she needed to have that removed. One girl had parent issues & the other no self-esteem. The one with no self-esteem did not follow the program & wouldn’t wear her chin strap. The other did everything she was supposed to so she made it to the pageant. The next 2 girls are sisters. They told the younger one first that she made it & let the older one think she didn’t. Then they hid it from the younger one the whole time that her sister was her competition. Both girls had gotten big boobs at a young age & wanted reductions. They weren’t sure the younger one would be able to get it cuz after her other surgery she had a hard time waking up from the anesthesia. But after going to a sleep clinic she got the all clear. They younger sister was chosen for the pageant to the dismay of the older sister but she will be there to root her on. This is on Mondays at 8pm CST on FOX.

Trading Spouses - This came back & I love this show but I missed the first episode. Again, I was in the hospital with my husband. I caught the second episode. One country Mom switched with a California Mom. The Cali family had a really nice house but were really overextended & the husband was desperately trying to save his business. Country Mom helped the kids make a quilt for their Mom. Cali Mom tried to impose her love of fashion & makeup on the country daughter. It didn’t take. At the end the Country Mom really thought about what the family needed & gave each kid $1,000 to spend any way they wanted. While Cali Mom only gave country kids an allowance of $2 a week. Cali Mom really had no concept of what the family needed. She was upset after finding out what Country Mom did for her family & how much her family liked her replacement. Thank GOD the next episode was only 1 episode & I didn’t have to endure religious people for 2 weeks. They traded a born again Christian with a Jewish woman. I will say the born again made more of an attempt to fit in while the Jewish woman would say she put on a happy face while it really a look of disgust. Born again didn’t get bitchy until she got home & saw fresh flowers in her house instead of the fake ones she likes. She also said her house was in disarray cuz things weren’t where she likes them due to them having a party. She also didn’t like the way her $50,000 was spent on a new car, hardwood floors & a trip to Europe. She wanted money set aside for college for her kids like she did for the other family. & can I tell you that as a Democrat how disgusted I was with Born again’s parting gift of W. playing cards. I would burn those so fast. You want to be religious right go right ahead. But when the other family is democratic, don’t try to foist that crap on them. This is on Mondays at 7pm CST on FOX.

Wife Swap - They flipped an anal housecleaner with a slobby vegetarian. The vegetarian was taking everything in stride. She did the all day cleaning & even cooked meat. She also got yelled at by anal’s Mom cuz she said the kitchen wasn’t as clean as her daughter would have it & if she knew what it looked like she would be “turning in her grave”. Does this woman not know her daughter is alive? Anal Mom whined the whole time. Then on the 2nd week when they get to change the rules, vegetarian had tons of trouble with the kids. The boy refused to try most of her vegetarian foods & had a fit when he found out there would be no TV or video games. The girl couldn’t handle the house not being thoroughly cleaned daily so she started to do it herself. Like Grandmother/ Like Mother/ Like Daughter I guess. Next switch was a fitness queen who keeps her kids active in sports & a mom who lets her kids sleep as late as they want, eat what they want & watch TV all day. In the end Fitness Mom got the family to be more active. That family abided by her rules. Not so much with the other family. Fitness Mom’s husband was a total jerk. He had no emotions whatsoever & was like a robot. He refused any changes to the rules in his home & totally disrespected the new Mom. The next 2 women were an overweight women who let her 2 daughters do pretty much whatever they wanted & a militant woman who homeschooled her brood of 5 & would physically abuse them for punishment. Each child has a leather strap nailed to the back of their door that was called “the whacker” that they were beat with if they didn’t follow their million rules. This episode pissed me off as all I could think about is that this woman & her husband [who reminded me of a serial killer cuz he had no emotions & was cold & robotic] were abusers & their kids are going to rebel hard one day. These kids were not allowed basically anything. It really made me sick. You can be strict & have rules, I consider myself a strict parent, yet you don’t have to be a total ass about it & make the kids have a miserable childhood. Mrs Militant really pissed me off when she grabbed the face of one of the other girls to make her look at her. Hello? My personal effing space. Don’t touch me. I don’t care if it is rule change or whatever, you don’t put your effing hands on someone. This really showed the other family how good they really have it & that there really are horrible people out there that abuse their kids in the name of good parenting. The next 2 women were one who is kept at home in the kitchen & her man is her master with a woman who is the breadwinner while her husband [who reminded me of Martha Raye’s husband, Mark Something] is a Desperate Househusband who has to answer her ringing bell after bringing her breakfast in bed. I think this switch got the most results. Working Mom made the husband stay home & do all the work his wife did. & that wife not only took care of the house but had a full time job at home typing medical transcriptions. The man realized how hard his wife has it & is going to help out more. He actually cried after being able to take his kids to school that he always misses out on that time with his kids. Home Mom made the husband burn his headshots & get a real job. I am not an actor, but how serious are you about an acting career living in Texas? He realized his wife walks all over him & has a temper & he wanted that to change. They now do Yoga together & he got a job as a painter & they hired a maid. This is on Wednesdays at 9pm CST on ABC.
