Dave asked about the cut & Magni shrugged it off saying it was just a flesh wound & he has cut himself worse shaving. Dave asks Dilana how she feels now & she said she feels like she will rock the sh*t out of this place. She said nobody's perfect & she fell really hard but she loves her friends & won't do that again.

This week the fans voted online what song each of them will sing. Lukas was first with 'Lithium'. Can we please have some other options? This is getting American Idolish in the same songs over & over. Lukas told us before this he was working at Hooters. I thought he sucked so hard on this song. He sounded like a total pussy & it is weak. I hated everything about it. & I hated his glitter lipgloss that looked like he just ate a greasy porkchop. But I am not the one that matters. The guys loved it. Dave said he took a classic & rearranged it & he thought it was awesome. Whatever. Hey, that reminds me. Last Friday I went to see the Foo Fighters. This is their acoustic tour & they played a smaller venue. It was really cool & Dave talked to the crowd a lot & told us about being in a band that toured & went to California & then broke up. 

Someone thought he should be in this band in Seattle called Nirvana so he flew up there & Kurt & Krist picked him up at the airport. Dave was eating an apple & it was all awkward when they met & he didn't know what to say so he offered them a bite of his apple. Kurt said he doesn't like them cuz they hurt his teeth. Then Dave did a song by himself that he wrote about the day he met the guys. It was a great show. I highly recommend it. & do what I did, don't go through the Evil Ticketmaster. I bought my tickets online at http://www.stubhub.com/ I bought my tickets on a Monday. Good seats too for a good price. They came on Wednesday & the show was on Friday. It was so sweet. OK. Back to the show. Tommy likes the music to do the talking & said that was talking. He loved the arrangement & was captivated. Gilby said it was his best. Jason said the song was right & dynamite. He's a poet.

Magni did 'I Alone'. He knows he is going home if he ends up in the Bottom 3 again this week. While I hated everything about Lukas' performance, I loved Magni's. He walked through the crowd & sang by Supernova, even in Tommy's face. Dave said that boy can sing. He almost wishes Magni had stayed by them so he could tell him to his face that it was killer. Tommy thought it was cool he came over by them but wishes he had gone into the crowd behind them too. I was no dreading that someone was going to kiss up & do it but no one did. I guess that will be next time. Magni was funny & said he thought about it but didn't cuz there wasn't any lighting. Gilby said he has always been solid & he gave it that extra something & it was a great job.

Ryan did 'Clocks'. He thinks he has been gaining momentum. She started the song at the piano & then he jumped on top of it. That was awesome. I thought he sounded good too & I hate this song. He ran back to it & played again at the end & then once again got on top of it & crawled across it. Dave said this will be a tough night cuz that was killer too. He always gives a level of intensity & likes that he was willing to jump on top of the piano. Jason said singing at the piano seems to be his forte & he loses the plot as a frontman. Gilby said it was great & he always gives something different.
Storm did 'Bring Me To Life'. She doesn't know the song. She had Toby do the background vocals. I thought that was cool but she didn't use it. I wanted them to sing to each other at some point but she just ignored him. He killed, she kind of sucked. It was just blah & her range totally didn't work for this song. Dave liked it though. He was worried cuz it wasn't in her register but she pulled it off even though Toby stole some of it. Gilby still remembers Jill's performance of this song & doesn't think he will remember hers. Jason said effort counts a lot to him.

Toby did 'Rebel Yell'. Perfect song for him. I loved it. I loved his intensity. He pulled a bunch of girls on stage to dance around him. Great move. & he got the crowd to chant w/ him. Dave said he was worried when he heard he was doing this after Lukas but it was really strong. Gilby said it was a great night for Toby & he took it to a new level. Tommy likes that he has gotten naked & gotten others to get naked & said God bless him. He said they should grab those girls & take them back to his dressing room & party. Toby said they may have to check some IDs.

Dilana closed the show with 'Mother Mother'. I am always so hot & cold w/ her. I didn't see how her voice could pull this off. When she sings & doesn't try to sound all Marianne Faithful it actually sounded good. I liked it. She got up on an Amp & straddled the guitarist at one point. Don't know how Gilby felt about that. At the end she headbutted the mic. That just looked stupid. Dave said that is his favorite performance of both seasons. He thought it was awesome. Tommy told her to say Hello to the King of Mistakes. He said you learn from them & hopefully don't make them again. Gilby said she delivered it great. She said she needed an angry song. Jason thought it was really good.

I don't know about Bottom 3 but my Bottom 2 were Lukas & Storm. At the end of the show Lukas, Storm & Ryan were at the bottom.

8/30: Brooke claims the votes more than doubled from last week & were the most votes out of the 2 seasons. Back at the mansion Storm really thinks she is going to go. Ryan said he is prepared to be the Bottom 3 but not to go home. Lukas said he will take it like a man if it is him.

Dave said that was the best performance show ever. He asked Storm about always seeming to want to be in the Bottom 3 & she says she always wants to sing & feels pretty good that she could kick the snot out of another song. I am so over Storm now. She just seems to be trying way too hard to be tough & cool. Just seems so phony to me. Dave asked Dilana if it would be hard to say goodbye & of course she said it would & they are like a family & it would be like losing a limb. Magni hated the 'In Touch' photo shoot. Dave said it is part of the job. Magni jokingly told him not to interrupt him. Dave said it is his show & he lied before when he said he had no control over the votes or the band's decision.

Lukas got the next Supernova song, 'It's On'. I hated it. Don't know what I think about the song. I just don't like Lukas' style so it is all I could see & hear.

Gilby said the 5 that remain after tonight will do a song clinic with him & write a song for the band. Then Toby got the encore for 'Rebel Yell'. He did it just as well as last night. He went in the audience & then did as Magni was instructed last night & went to the crowd behind Supernova.

Ryan, Storm & Lukas had been in the bottom at the end of the show. Toby & Dilana had also been there at some point. So Magni is the only one who is safe & for the first time we know who got the most votes & who is in the lead. Dave said the lame ass thing that none of them should be standing up. Uh… it's the game Dave.

Ryan was up first w/ 'Baba O'Riley'. He sucked. He grabbed a bottle of champagne & sprayed it on the crowd. Toby came & took it & then he & some of the other finalists drank it. Ryan got up on the amps & then did a puss jump off it. He tried to get the crowd to sing w/ him but they weren't into it. Then he tried to get them jumping w/ him.

Storm did 'Helter Skelter' & she sucked as well. She went in the crowd & eventually get in Tommy's lap. The performance was so over the top & smelled of desperation. She crowd surfed at the end.
Dilana also made her first trip down & did 'Psycho Killer' & sucked as much as the other 2. They should tommyhawk all 3 for those performances.

Gilby said what an adventure Ryan has had. He has come so far & this was a great night for him. He thought that was the best audience reception but isn't sure if Ryan is right for them. He said that Storm has been solid but they haven't seen any growth. Finally Dilana being in the bottom comes out of left field to them. She seemed lost in the middle of her song but has earned credit from them for her past songs. Is it enough?

Tommy said they are all great but it is who is best for them. Ryan has come the farthest but he's out. Dave said he knows Ryan will do great. Ryan said they could have made 20 years of great music w/ him. That's a laugh. This band is together for this show & the contractually obligated tour & that's it. Ryan said he is sorry but he will go solo now & they will see him on the charts cuz that's where he will be hanging out.

9/5: I didn't pay as much attention to this show as BB just ended & I was a little wrapped up in Will being voted out. Still bummed. Oh well. Another reality show doesn't end like I wanted. Nothing new.
So they did their songwriting clinic w/ Gilby. Dilana really struggled. She wrote lyrics abut the Internet fans voting for them & to tell them to f*ck off or something. This week they would be doing one original & one cover & her cover was 'Behind Blue Eyes' & she has never heard it. She wanted to change up the arrangement & The House Band's leader said it is ignorance to change something you don't even know.

Dilana ripped a calf muscle in rehearsal so she was carried to the stage. She did the cover first. Then her original called 'Supersoul'. I wasn't impressed by either. They weren't bad, just boring. Dave thought she sang great & had great interaction w/ the audience. He didn't like her original though. Tommy did. Gilby said she is too literal in her lyrics. Jason said strong will & effort are important.
Ooh. I don't care about Supernova's tour at all but Brooke informs us that The House Band will open. Now that's cool.

Magni did 'Back in the U.S.S.R.' & his song ''When The Time Comes'. I liked them both. Dave thought it was great. Tommy asked why he sounded the same on both & I loved Magni's response that it was cuz he was singing both of them.

Storm did 'Suffragette City' & 'Ladylike'. I was indifferent to both. Dave played w/ her on the cover tune. He said it felt like other times he played w/ a great female singer. Her original was his favorite from both seasons.

Lukas did 'Living on a Prayer' & 'Head Spin'. Hated both. He is like Zayra to me. It doesn't matter what he does, I won't like it. Not into his style at all.

Toby did 'Mr. Brightside' & 'Throw It Away'. I didn't like the cover at all. I don't know what it is. Something just wasn't right. But I did like his original. Dave said the original was instantly memorable & had the crowd singing along. Gilby said he always has fun. Jason said he embraced the crowd.

At the end of the show the votes had them in this order from best to worst:

Toby - Lukas - Magni - Storm - Dilana
My order would be:
Magni - Toby - Storm - Dilana - Lukas

9/6: Brooke tells the world she is pregnant & is having another girl. Dave's new band "The Panic Channel" will be on the tour. Supernova does their song 'It's All Love' with Magni. I didn't like it at all. It was a pussy song. I think Magni did fine w/ it but it wasn't my cup of tea.

Toby got the encore. He also won a Honda Element. He had the Australian Flag & dedicated the song to Steve "Crocodile Hunter" Irwin. I thought that was cool. He did his song 'Throw it Away" & kicked ass again. I am still singing the song. I think this may be what wins it for him like J.D.'s original set him over the top last year.

Brooke says there was record-breaking votes again last night. All 5 had been in the bottom 3 at some point & were vulnerable.

First up was Storm. She sang 'Wish You Were Here'. I am not a Pink Floyd fan but whenever my husband's band does this song the crowd loves it. Storm did nothing w/ the song & undersang it. She was crying by the end & dedicated it to her Mom.

Dilana punked up Cheap Trick's 'I Want You To Want Me'. Man that was fricking horrible. You want to hear a good punkier version check out Letters to Clio. Dilana took a good song & flat out sucked.
Lukas was also in the bottom & I was thrilled cuz this was my bottom 3. He did his original 'Head Spin' again. Can't tell you how he did cuz I suffered enough listening to it the first time so I fast forwarded through that sh*t.

Gilby said this was Lukas' first time at the bottom & he is safe. He hands it off to Tommy who then hands it off to Jason. I was so hoping both girls would get cut since there is only 1 week left. But STORM was the only one cut.

Dave said he chose to rock w/ her last night & respects what she does & her cover is still his favorite from both seasons. Then Dave has horrible taste Jordis Unga still has the best covers ever IMO. Marty Casey kicked some serious ass too.

Storm thanked the fans & said this is real rock 'n roll & the finalists are all a family. She said they will see her again.

9/12: I didn't pay attention to the beginning. Ryan Star won the encore & got a car. I didn't pay any attention to his song.

The finalists will do a cover & an original. Toby was up first w/ 'Karma Police'. I am not a Radiohead fan & don't like this song. He did OK. He had Magni play guitar on 'Throw it Away'. I cracked up when he wrote "Evs" on his bald head. At one point Magni held the guitar for Toby to play. I just love how they are competing yet supporting & having fun together. Dave said that is his favorite Radiohead song & thought it was a killer set. Gilby thought he got lost on the melody at first but he is so great in that range. Jason said he has the most energy.

Lukas did 'Fix You'. Again, not a Coldplay fan & I am not a Lukas fan. The song suit him but that figures since I don't like either. Then he did 'Head Spin' & I still don't like it at all. The judges all loved him & Gilby said he is fearless & not afraid to try something new. That confused me as both songs sounded the same & done the same way & the same way he does everything. Sucky.

Dilana did 'Roxanne' & surprised me once again. I liked it. She had the other 3 finalists sing backup. Then she did her 'Super Soul' & it's just ok. Dave thought it was really smart to get the others to sing backup. Tommy said they love her. Jason said the first thing he would change is matching outfits for the boys & then Lukas' choreography. Gilby likes watching her.

Magni did 'Hush' & then 'When The Time Comes'. I liked both. Dave said a fan is fanning herself cuz he did a killer job. He said Magni is a lot of fun & thanks him for putting on a great set. Tommy said he remembers the others' originals but nothing of Magni's. Jason said he dug it & said it is cool to get to play your own song. Magni said it is ok cuz he loves his original.

At the end of the night the order from best to worst was Dilana, Toby, Lukas & Magni. My order is Magni, Toby, Dilana, Lukas. But my favorite to win is Toby cuz I love his original.

9/13: Brooke looked like she was trying out her Wonderwoman costume. I just can't get past her outfits. She tries to hard to look like a rock chick & just looks pathetic. Like a kitten dressed like a tiger. She said the votes broke records again but never gave us any real numbers. Everyone but Dilana had been in the bottom 2 at some point.

Magni was first in the bottom. He sang 'Fire'. Toby was the other so I was totally bummed cuz they are my Top 2. He did 'White Wedding'. Gilby said it has been a wild ride for Magni. He is a talented musician & plays well w/ the band but doesn't think he fronts it so he is out. Dave said Magni was the most consistent. Magni thanks the fans, his family & the House Band & said he wants to be in it. Then he thanked the other 3 contestants.

No reason to watch the rest of the episode. Mark Burnett screwed up. Well really the band that has no name cuz they can no longer be called Supernova cuz they lost the lawsuit from the real Supernova screwed up cuz the spoiler has been out there forever who they wanted to win. There was a commercial for 'Survivor' & it was backed by Lukas doing his sucky song 'Head Spin'. So the winner is crowned.

But first back to the charade. Lukas did 'Bittersweet Symphony' again. I just want to punch him in the glittery lipstick. Dilana was mediocre on 'Zombie' & Toby kicked ass on 'Somebody Told Me'. Jason said there is a positive vibe cuz of the opportunities given to everyone. He said Toby's vocals were never in question & his voice cuts through the music but he was out. Whatever. So for sure just like last year I could give a sh*t about this band. Dave said Toby already has a hit song. Toby said he had the best time ever & they taught him so much.

Tommy Lee told Lukas that his look, energy & vocals are amazing. He said Dilana is enchanting, her voice is unbelievable & who doesn't love her. *I raise my hand. He said they have to listen to their fans & the winner got the most votes last night so LUKAS wins. Blech. I just don't like anything about this guy. His look, his act, his voice & everything he sings he makes sound the same. Boring.
Dave told Dilana he adores her & she is a phenomenal singer & performer & he wants her to tour w/ them. Gilby offered to write & produce her album & said he won't do that for anyone but her. Dave said he will play on it. Tommy said he will too. Dilana wanted to tell her fans that she promises to bring out a cd.

Then the no-name band played for the last 10 minutes & it was torture for me since Lukas sucks so hard. They did 'Be Yourself' & 'It's All Love'. Magni came out to play on guitar for the 2nd one. Brooke says they will be back next summer.
