Back to the May 07 Newsletter

Their challenge was to go on Go Sees & they will be judged on their personality, portfolio & runway.  They have to be back by 4:30 or are DQd.  Right off the bat Brittany goes to the wrong address.  Dionne was totally obnoxious & unprofessional at every one as she asked to get the stuff she wore for free.  Brittany ’s walk sucked.  Natasha was asked her height & she just ignored the guy.  Renee learned that one of the designers recently had a baby she slipped some photos of her son into her portfolio.  Brittany refused to chit chat as she saw that as unprofessional even though they were told they were being judged on their personality.  Renee, Jaslene & Dionne head back to make it on time while Brittany decides to try to make one more even though her driver told her it would take 15 minutes to get back & there was only 20 minutes left.  Then she bitched at her driver cuz she claims she told him to meet her at the last place & the footage proved otherwise.  Jaslene made it back w/ just a minute to spare.  Natasha got there a minute late & told she was DQd.  Nat asha’s big head told us she knows she would have won the challenge.  Natasha was told to wait outside & then Brittany showed up & Natasha told her she was DQd & Brittany had a total shitfit.  She was screaming & carrying on & blaming her driver.  Everyone could hear her in the building.  Natasha tried to calm her down & I thought she made a good point that some people have wars in their countries so this is nothing to be that upset about.  Brittany would hear none of it.

Renee was told the designers thought she photographed too hard.  Dionne had bad posture.  So Jaslene won & her prize was a photo shoot atop a bridge & she chose Dionne as her friend.

The girls had to be ready at 5:30am for their photo shoot cuz that is the best light.  They would do one shot for a men’s magazine & the other for a woman’s.  Tyra would do the girl shot.  She was frustrated w/ Dionne cuz she had to be directed the whole time.  She was disappointed w/ Jaslene.  Renee was a natural.  Natasha wouldn’t stop w/ the porno mouth.

Jaslene did better w/ the men’s shot.  Dionne looked mean.  Renee committed.  Brittany took awhile but finally got it.  Natasha got into the vibe.  Jaslene tells us she wants Renee to get cut cuz she thinks she is just hungry for the money.

At Panel Brittany cried & whined about her driver.  Tyra told her that not 1 client wanted to hire her.  The judges did like her shots though.  Mr Jay said the male model outshined her.  They liked Natasha’s shots but she always does “the turtle” & freezes up.  They liked Jaslene & Renee’s but not Dionne’s.

At Deliberation they liked Natasha.  They thinks Brittany is photogenic but no one wanted to book her cuz of her personality & walk.  They thought Jaslene was the opposite & versatile.  They think Dionne was weak & is going backwards.  Tyra thinks Renee would make the most money but is just commercial.

The photos went to Jaslene – Natasha – Renee.  Brittany has the most beautiful photographs but not one client would book her.  Dionne’s pictures have been nice but not as strong as Brittany ’s & has to be coached so much.  Brittany was cut.  Buh bye fugly!  She claims to never be an emotional person so doesn’t know why she was there.  She is glad s he got the experience.

Natasha was Covergirl of the week.

5/9:  Natasha talks on the cellphone to her alleged husband on speakerphone.  She is talking all sexy-like & practically making out w/ the phone.  She is doing this in the room she shares w/ the other girls while they are all in bed so they are forced to witness it.  It was very odd.

They have to walk through the woods to their challenge & meet some Aboriginals.  They have touse their storytelling & dancing into a story they create to define themselves & show it to the Aboriginals & an exec from Seventeen Magazine.  They had 15 minutes to prepare & put the makeup on & so on.  I thought Renee did a good job & talked about being abused.  Jaslene was weird saying she was misled & her true love is her dream to model.  Dionne didn't want to do it & then talked about her Mom being shot & paralyzed.  She said she loved her baby sister the most cuz she encourages her to model.  WTF?  Natasha was totally bizarre.  She barely spoke above a whisper & said it was so people would pay attention.  But all it did is made it so no one could hear her.  Seventeen Magazine picked RENEE as the winner cuz their readers could relate to her story.  She picked Jaslene as her friend & their prize was pearl jewelry.

The girls go out that night except for Natasha who stayed home sick.  The other girls bash her in her absence & say they want her to go home next.  They all think she is a liar about her family cuz they have never seen pictures of her husband or child.  Dionne said she doesn't even know the husband's name.

Natasha is still sick the next morning but goes to the photo shoot.  They have to learn an Aboriginal dance & act it out in their photos.  Jaslene's was the red-breasted robin & she did well.  Dionne was food gathering & she sucked as usual.  She looked too mean & Jay had to coach her every frame.  Natasha did horribly as the wiggly wagtail bird.  It wasn't the story, it was cuz she was sick & seemed more out of it than she usually was.  Jay would coach & she just did nothing.  He was really frustrated w/ her.  He said he never had a girl fall this flat.  Renee was the complete opposite as flight of the butterfly.  Every shot was great & she even improvised some dance moves.  Natasha is psycho as usual & thinks she did a great job.

At Panel Tyra said that Jay said it was frustrating to work w/ Dionne cuz she needed the most coaching.  Each girl was asked who has the most potential & the least.  Dionne said Jaslene has the most & Natasha has the least cuz something is missing. 

The judges don't like that Jaslene does the same pose every week.  Jaslene says she has the most potential cuz her heart is there.  I didn't get that cuz I think all the girls left want this title.  She said Natasha has the least cuz she comes off real phony.

Renee had tons of good shots to choose from & they chose the one she improvised.  She said she has the most cuz her family lights a fire under her butt & Natasha has the least cuz she plays games & something is lacking in her personality.

Natasha didn't have a single good shot.  Jay said she regressed back to her early weaknesses.  She said she has the most cuz her features are in fashion.  She never says who has the least or at least they didn't show it.  She said she doesn't care they all said she had the least & they are still her friends.  She takes it as a compliment that they think she is the toughest competition & if Giselle was behind her she would say her cuz she would be the competition.  Tyra wonders if it is jealousy & Natasha said it is better to be talked about then not noticed.

While waiting for the judges to deliberate Natasha wished the girls luck.  The girls tell her she is fake & she says she isn't.  Jaslene tells her she is not jealous of her or thinks she's a threat.

The judges worry about Jaslene thinking this competition is her life & how she would handle losing.  Nigel doesn't like Renee cuz she looks old.  They talk about the girls ganging up on Natasha & her photos were a disaster.

Photos went to RENEE & JASLENE.  Tyra said Dionne started rough & got better but her ascent isn't a steady climb but up & down.  & she was the only one to not say herself as the most potential.  Natasha started awful & got better.  This week she was sick & her photos were dreadful & worst than her 1st week.  Every girl said she has the least potential & the judges wonder if she is manipulative & fake.  Or maybe the girls are just jealous & NATASHA is safe cuz her body of work is stronger.  DIONNE is out.  She says she is very disappointed & could have done a better job.  She is mad that she failed but has the opportunity to do something not many normally do.

Jaslene was CoverGirl of the week.

5/16:  The girls have to shoot their CoverGirl commercial & there is no script.  Just a few lines they have to say to promote the product.  Renee would be on a boat, Jaslene getting out of a limo on a red carpet & Natasha is backstage.  They had to talk about their life as a CoverGirl.  Natasha sucked big time.  Renee at first said after having a baby she thought her life was over.  Jay wisely told her that was the wrong approach & Renee totally changed it & just nailed it.  She even used the “easy, breezy, beautiful” line.  Jaslene started slow & was stiff.  She said a line in Spanish & Jay loved that.

Caridee was there & she coached Natasha how to elongate her neck for her photo shoot.  The photographer said Natasha had to laugh to smile.  He thought Renee was great but looks older than the other girls.  Renee told us she hopes Natasha goes before the Runway cuz she walks like a pigeon toed duck w/ poop coming out of its ass.  After she said that I paid more attention when the girl walked & she does stick her toes out weird even when she is just standing still.  Natasha hopes Jaslene would go cuz she doesn’t have personality in her photos.

At Panel the judges thought Natasha’s commercial was awful but had a good photo.  Jaslene’s weird delivery failed to impress but they liked her photo too.  They loved Renee’s commercial & said she was natural & liked her photo but again, Nigel said she looks old. 

At Deliberation Twiggy  said Natasha is the most beautiful of the 3.  Tyra says she touches her heart.  Nigel raved about Jaslene.  & they all say Renee is old.

Jaslene gets the 1st photo & is going to the Finals.  She cries.  Tyra said Natasha has a smile on her face all the time.  She started shaky & got a lot better but her CoverGirl this week was weak.  Renee is a strong woman who wants to make her family life better & takes beautiful photos but looks old.  RENEE was out.  She was the one I wanted to win.  Oh well.  I rarely get them right anyway.  But I think it is stupid to put her throug h this whole time if they just thought she was too old.  That’s lame.  They should have never let her in then.  Tyra said they kept Natasha cuz she takes a critique & is amazing the next week.  She has potential & a bright personality.  Renee hugs the girls & tells Natasha to win it for the Mamas.  Renee tells us she took the best photo & did the best commercial but is going cuz she looks to old.  She would rather have wisdom in her eyes than look blank & stupid.

The finalists shoot their Seventeen Magazine cover.  Jaslene tells us if Natasha wins she will pull out all her hair.  Tyra awaits the girls back home & one at a time they get to “discover” her in the living room.  Natasha totally overreacts & strokes Tyra’s giant ego.  Natasha tells her all about her life.  When it is Jaslene’s turn they talk about how she was cut early in the 7th cycle & now makes it to the end.

The Runway’s theme is evolution.  Caridee will walk out first.  They have to be like cavewomen on their first pass & each go get more sophisticated & evolve.  I thought that was right up Natasha’s alley at the start cuz she is so over the top while Jaslene likes to look fierce & just strut.  Afterwards of course Natasha said she did the best out of everyone there.  I don’t know if the girl has this ego or if it is a language thing.  Jaslene thinks she is fierce.  Natasha said if she wins she will be a role model for strangers to America .  Jaslene said she has Latin spice & isn’t the girl next door but is the girl down the block in the Hood.

At the final Panel Natasha had the worst hairdo ever.  Nigel said Natasha lost intensity throughout the Runway.  Jaslene didn’t start well but got better.  They looked at photos throughout the season & compared who was better.  It looked pretty even there.  The final 2 got a chance to talk & Natasha said she is very thankful & then said something in Russian.  Jaslene said it is lifechanging & then spoke in Spanish.

At Deliberation the judges raved about both girls.  Nigel likes Jaslene better.  Twiggy liked Natasha.

Tyra tells the girls they are both so strong but it was JASLENE who won.  Ho hum.  Does anyone really care?
