Reality Television - I don’t usually recap ‘Fear Factor’ but I had to mention they had a reality TV edition. Ryan from ‘The Bachelor’, Ethan & Jenna M from ‘Survivor’, Reichen from Chip & Reichen on ‘The Amazing Race’, Nikki McKibbon from ‘American Idol’ & the infamous Omarosa from ‘The Apprentice’ competed. Good guy Ryan won. Omarosa used her nastiness on the little Nicki, who we learned has a famous sister. Toni the eye bulge big chick from ‘Love Cruise’ & ‘Paradise Hotel’. OOH & on that note I just read that FOX is considering bringing Paradise Hotel back this summer & they will even use the same cast. That show is my guilty pleasure. It is just so sleazy it is oh so good. Then I read it wasn’t coming back. Oh well. I still got my fave, ‘Big Brother’, returning this summer & it isn’t an All-Star edition so I don’t have to be annoyed by some of the has beens coming back. Here are some dates of upcoming shows. March 28 – The Bachelor with Jerry O’Connell’s brother Charlie. March 30 – Showbiz Moms & Dogs. April 6 – Meet the Barkers. April 11 – Popularity Contest. I am always looking for writers for my site. Amazing Race - 3/1: & we’re off! The new season kicked off in California & their 1st stop was Lima, Peru. Rob & Amber from ‘Survivor’ are a team this season & the other teams aren’t too thrilled since they know Amber rides coattails & Rob can’t be trusted. The teams are: Susan & Patrick – Mother/ son Megan & Heidi – Roommates Debbie & Bianca – Lifelong friends [who are real kissy w/ each other] Ryan & Chuck – Friends [referred to as “hillbillies”] Uchenna & Joyce – Married Brian & Greg – Brothers Meredith & Gretchen – Older married couple Ray & Deana – On & Off couple Lynn & Alex – Boyfriends Ron & Kelly – POW & Beauty Queen Rob & Amber – Romber Summary continued here

American Idol - 2/21: The real competition begins & the guys are up first. No theme tonight. First up was Nikko Smith. He sang ‘Part-Time Lover’. Randy said he made Stevie proud. Paula said he came out strong. Simon said he was ok but viewers will forget about him. He said he was a background singer. Scott Savol was next w/ ‘You Are My Lady’. Randy said it wasn’t his best cuz it didn’t show off his range. Paula said it was an interesting song choice & he doesn’t sound like she would expect him to. Simon said he doesn’t look like an American Idol. He sounds good but not fantastic & should choose a better song than that. Anthony Fedorov sang ‘Hold on to the Nights’. Randy said it was good but boring & safe. Paula said it was safe. Simon said he is dull as dishwater & predictable. He said it left him completely cold & wasn’t a star performance. Bo Bice did ‘Drift Away’. I thought it was one of the best of the night. Randy said he loved it & it rocked. He said it was hot. Paula said he was on pitch & compared it to putting on a perfect pair of jeans. Simon said he did absolutely everything right. Summary continued here

America's Next Top Model - 3/2: There were a couple girls returning like Tiffany from last season who got into that fight in the club & threw a glass. She has gone through anger management & isn’t as angry now. She took to mentoring a new girl that referred to herself as “Lady Cat” or something like that & she would act like a cat. That girl had an attitude & Tiffany tried to encourage her to simmer down. There are a bunch of Moms too. It started with 35 semi-finalists that had to be cut to 20. Then they were cut to 14. They had the usual night at the hotel pool where the girls play Truth or Dare. Each girl had to meet w/ Tyra & her Jays to be judged. They also had to do a catwalk in lingerie. The girls this season are the ugliest I think they’ve had. I know that is a cruel thing to say, but come on. Some of these girls are fugly. Tyra has said she wants to find someone this season that is different & not a typical beauty. I think they’ve found that in Michelle. Summary continued here

The Apprentice - 2/24: Stephanie gets back to the apartment & tells her team that she won’t hold anything they said in the boardroom against them. They all have a bonding moment. The task this week is to create a graffiti ad for Playstation 2’s new game ‘Gran Turismo 4’. Tara was PM for Net Worth. Her team talked to the execs at PS2 & they told her that their target demographic was males 18-34. Alex was PM for Magna. The 2 teams worked completely different. Magna split up & did different tasks while Net Worth did everything together. Well they were together but they had no say in the project. Tara knew what she wanted & that was that. Spider 3/22/05 NBC's 'Apprentice' Candidates Vie for Slice of Domino's Pie
The Ashlee Simpson Show - 2/23: Ashlee made her Grammy picks by selecting people she liked & not by knowing their music. She is filming a movie called “Wannabe” & there is a lot of downtime in her trailer. She wanted Ryan to spend every second w/ her so she wouldn’t be bored. Nevermind that he has his own career. She performed on AOL Music Live & then had to do a day of phone interviews. She got mad at Ryan cuz he didn’t have time to call her & if he did, he put her on hold. She is really coming off like a spoiled brat. She didn’t get a Grammy nomination so her friend presented her w/ a tinfoil award she named after herself, The Steffy. Taco Bell sent her a Nacho Day award cuz her “chips were down” & they gave her $10 to spend there. She went to the Billboard Awards & won best new female artist. Summary continued here

The Bachelorette - 2/21: This was the Men Tell All episode. First target was David & when he fainted at the Rose Ceremony. Was it the most dramatic? I don’t think so. He said he knew he had a chance of getting in a hot tub with her so he cut out carbs & worked out a lot. While he was standing there he got lightheaded. Next up was Stu the Stalker. He thought they were compatible & that he could potentially be engaged in a short time & that is why he wanted to know everything about her. He knows he has been made fun of a lot & said even Kelly Ripa, Howard Stern & the women on ‘The View’ have talked about him. He made a joke of looking at the camera & telling Kelly he loves her. Celebrity Fit Club - 2/20: Daniel is missing. Me thinks he hasn’t kicked his drug problem. So someone from Ralphie’s team will have to sit out the weigh-in. Ralphie offered cuz he has been on the road & is all swollen. Biz weighed 318 & was down 8. He hasn’t been feeling well. His next target is 6 pounds for the next 2 weeks. He has lost 26 pounds total. Judge weighed 189 & was down 5. Her target is 4 pounds & has lost 19 total. Mia b!tched at the doctor this week & said he saw what camera time Harvey got for it. She just acted like a spoiled brat & told Doc that he started it. She weighed in at 195 & was down 5. Her next target is 5 pounds & she has lost 15 total. Chasing Farrah - 3/23: I watched this & it wasn’t as bad as I thought. Farrah pisses me off though. She kept saying she HATES reality shows. Yet she is doing one. WTF? There were 2 episodes tonight & the 1st one was the network pitching the show to her & then we were introduced to her entourage. The 2nd one was all her & Ryan O’Neal. I thought they were sweet together & you can tell they really love each other. They are both wacky. This is on Wednesdays at 9pm CST on TVLand.

The Contender - 3/7: 16 middleweight boxers were chosen to compete on this new show by Mark Burnett & Sylvester Stallone. The winner gets a million bucks. 2 will fight each week & the loser goes home. The fight is a legal fight that goes 5 rounds & counts on their record. They were divided into 2 teams, East & West. They live in an apartment above their gym & their families all get to live nearby to comfort them. Along w/ Sly, championship boxer Sugar Ray Leonard is also there to mentor them. There is also a woman named Jackie who is a known manager & trainer Tommy Gallagher. They have to live 2 to a room. Ishe roomed w/ Alfonso & they have fought before. Every day they go downstairs for daily training. They get to size each other up. Ishe attempts to psyche Ahmet out as he is sparring w/ someone else. Summary continued here

Family Plots - 3/6: They are back but things aren’t the same. Emily & Dave are both getting divorced. Rick & Melissa are still broken up & he can’t handle working w/ her so is making life hard on the rest of the staff. He doesn’t ever want her working there & if she is, he leaves. Real mature. Melissa is happy w/out him & has lost 15 pounds since the breakup. Rick deals w/ his pain by being petty & somehow a letter to him from an admirer ends up in Emily’s box. It gets passed around & everyone laughs at it. They are really busy & need extra help so Missy is called in & Rick gets pissed. Summary continued here

The Inferno 2 - 3/7: I know people were able to vote online before this season to put the players in their categories but come on! Mormon Julie as a Good Guy? No way. I know they had to separate her from the evil witches Veronica & Rachel but still. Here are the teams: Good – Brad, Darrell, Jamie, Jodi, Jon, Julie, Landon, Miz, Robin & Shavonda. Bad – Abe, Beth, CT, Dan, Derrick, Karamo, Rachel, Tina, Tonya, & Troll, I mean Veronica. Their first challenge was a Navy SEAL exercise & they had to work in teams of 2. Both teams had one team of their strongest guys & that was the right idea since those were the last 2 left. Miz & Landon, Derrick & Abe. But the Bad Asses took it & won $10,000 for their bank. Both teams pick one player from the other team to go to The Inferno. Bad went for the toughest guy & chose MIZ. Good went w/ the other tactic & take out someone weak & went for DAN. Every other week we don’t get to see someone booted so we have to wait till next week to see who goes. But it is obvious by the clips of the season that Mike is still there. Summary continued here

Newlyweds - 2/23: Jess & Nick plan a trip to Miami w/ some friends to celebrate the New Year. Jess ate carbs for the first time in 3 months & got a stomachache. When they get to Miami it is raining. The house they rented by looking online wasn’t what they thought. They wanted 7 bedrooms & this had 6. But there actually was another bedroom but it was full of junk & the bathroom was nasty. Their hot tub didn’t work either. Jess played Scattegories w/ her friends & she teamed up w/ her hairdresser.

The Osbournes - 2/21: Sharon & Kelly want to help the world & it is decided they will go to Africa. Ozzy is totally against this & said they will get kidnapped or sick from a bug bite. Project Greenlight - 3/15: The show is back & has moved to BRAVO. Their other 2 movies haven’t done well so this time the studio wants one that is more commercial. They are still working w/ the Weinsteins but this time it is Dimension. Chris Moore is back to Executive Produce. They ended up picking a movie called ‘The Feast’. It is a horror movie along the lines of ‘Scream’ where it has comedy as well as scaring you. Matt & Ben did not want this movie. They both liked different ones more but the studio put their foot down. So the director that was chosen is this very weird guy, John Gullager. I tend to think that Matt & Ben are trying to sabotage it by picking this guy. His stuff is interesting but he is such an introvert that I don’t think he is capable of a studio flick. 3/22: The director becomes more & more problematic. He comes from an acting family & he doesn’t even want to read any other actors & only use his family. He keeps saying that he knows they are the best actors on the planet & no one knows. Sorry. They’re not. I am not saying that they aren’t good actors, just not the best. If this dork was smart, he would make the dumb studio flick as the suits dictate & then he will have a big movie under his belt as well as some money & then he can make whatever weird movie he wants starring only his family. The other problem is that this movie requires a lot of money to make it right. The studio only wants to give them a little over a million. I think that is bullshit. THEY chose this movie so you need to put up the money to make it decent. I don’t want to hear any shit when the movie isn’t successful & blaming it anywhere but at the budget. The writers chosen are the opposite of the director, & the 2 directors last season. They are embracing the Hollywood machine & are out getting lawyers & agents & so on. The next episode shows Chris Moore tired of the director & saying he is fired.

Real World Philadelphia - 2/22: MJ’s fallback girl comes to visit after a trip from Hell. But his guy friend shows up too. What’s a boy to do? He’d rather spend the time w/ his boy. When his girl got back home she told MJ on the phone that she isn’t 100% in the relationship. He said that isn’t good enough for him. He claimed to be 100% committed to her. Yeah, right. MJ had one more girlfriend to deal w/ this episode, Landon. Landon was jealous cuz MJ’s guy friend knew a side to him that he didn’t know & he wanted to know him like that too. What drama! Road to Stardom with Missy Elliot - 2/23: They meet up w/ Missy’s young protégé who is 12. They are divided into 2 teams, Deltrice & Matthew and Jessica & Nilyne & are brought in one team at a time & they have 20 minutes to come up w/ the concept for Brianna’s video. Matthew knew right away what he wanted to do. His concept was for her to go to a party & everything is in black & white but she is in color. & then whomever she touches would change into color. I thought that could be a cool video. Nilyne & Jessica just fought the whole time. Nilyne concentrated more on choreographing it. They had nothing & said her video would be her going to a beach party. Each choice, Deltrice & Matthew won & got a sap treatment for their reward. Jessica & Nilyne continued arguing & eventually stopped talking to each other. They went to the studio to work on their track w/ Dallas. Jessica & Nilyne were put into a room together & they finally talked & made nice. The performance challenge would be to perform their track for important people. They didn’t know who they would be. It turned out to be their close friends & family. Deltrice & Nilyne caught the spotlight. Missy asked Nilyne about her fight w/ Jessica & Deltrice what went wrong.. Deltrice said she was overwhelmed by her parents being there. Then Missy had them look at each other & tell why they deserve to be there over the other. Nilyne said Deltrice can only sing & dance well where as she is a triple threat. Deltrice said Nilyne acts confidant but is unsure & she is sure. Missy cut NILYNE cuz she is unpredictable. She has charisma & stage presence but she also has a temper problem & she changed her track & is too much of a risk.
3/2: The final 3 had to plead their cases to the judges & were told to do or say anything they could to prove they should win. Then they got a makeover before heading to the live show. All the eliminated kids got to perform. I noticed that Nilyne danced in the front the whole time. I do think she was the best dancer. Matthew & Jessica both got small solos but I didn’t notice Deltrice getting one. They claimed that only 2 of them would get to perform & it was up to Missy. She had Matthew sing first. I was happy cuz I was rooting for him to win. But then after his song she said she was feeling generous & had both girls do their tracks. I still liked Matthew’s the best & Deltrice the least out of the Final 3. I used to root for Jessica to win this but then as the show went on I felt the show was spotlighting her too much & pushing her to win & Matthew was the underdog so I backed him. But my suspicions were correct & JESSICA got the final spotlight & this time it was a good thing & she won. I haven’t heard anything about this show returning.

The Starlet - 3/6: 10 girls compete to be “The Starlet”. This is a show done by Mike Fleiss [The Bachelor] & Jamie Kennedy. The girl who wins at the end gets a deal w/ The WB, 3 Arts Entertainment & a role on ‘One Tree Hill’. The judges are Vivica Fox, Faye Dunaway & casting agent Joseph Middleton [he was on ‘Project Greenlight’]. The girls get to stay in a house once owned by Marilyn Monroe. As they check out the house they see only 9 beds so they ASSume that one person will get kicked out that night. Turns out there is a Diva Suite that one girl will earn each week. Their first assignment was to do 2 lines from Whitney Houston’s role in ‘The Bodyguard’. They had 15 minutes to rehearse. One girl, Andria, that was all looks & no talent ad libbed some lines like calling the guy a funny little man. The judges didn’t like that at all. The judges really liked Donna & Mercedes. Vivica hated Lauren’s blue eye shadow. Their Top 3 were Mercedes, Donna & Michelelynne. Summary continued here

Surreal Life - 2/20: Chris is still wondering if Adrianne’s affections are just a game. Ron Jeremy showed up as Cupid to arrange dates for everyone but Jane, who is married. Survivor Palau - 2/24: Koror is miserable at their new camp. They have rats & it is raining. Or maybe I should just say Caryn is miserable cuz she is the one complaining constantly about it. The Reward Challenge had them crossing a balance obstacle course. They had to retrieve 10 flags & the first team to do it would get fishing gear. Willard sat out for Koror. Ulong easily beat them. Angie really kicked ass on this challenge & showed a little of it [as well as some “t”]. Koror looked for their lost reward box from the last Immunity. They found it & were able to pull it up & get their flint. Ulong had some fish but Angie won’t eat. That worried her tribe. The tree mail for Immunity told them to learn morse code. The actual challenge had them swim to a platform & then go down 10 feet to a rope to pull a foot locker 50 feet. Summary continued here

Wife Swap - 2/23: This was an interracial episode. A white woman married to a black man switched w/ a black woman married to a white man. Both black people were very similar in that they both expected their spouse to wait on them. I am just going to quickly recap this one as I am writing this a week later & can’t remember all the details. Doreen [black woman] is a total bitch & doesn’t even like her 2 sons. She thinks black men don’t treat women right so married a white guy. Nevermind that she is raising 2 BLACK MEN! Summary continued here
