Reality Television - The dates covered in this newsletter are January 30th to February 26. Dancing w/ the Stars ended w/ the right person winning. American Idol & Survivor are both back & just on the horizon are Deal or No Deal, The Apprentice, Real World: Key West & The Amazing Race. There are a bunch of shows starting in March too. 1 - America's Next Top Model 6 - Super Nanny & Miracle Workers. 7 - Nashville Star. 15 - Top Chef. 16 - American Inventor. 21 - Blow Out & The Real Housewives of Orange County. 22 - Unan1mous. American Idol 5 - 1/31: Well this recap won't take long. We only saw 3 people make it through & only 11 people total made it to Hollywood. The first one was Mecca Madison. She is a belly dancer. She sang 'Big Spender'. Simon Cowell liked it but said he thought she had a better recording voice then live. All 3 said yes. Heather Warren is a counselor at a correctional facility. She sang 'Redneck Woman'. I thought she was really good. Simon said it was an interesting audition. Paula Abdul passed. I was shocked but then again, she isn't a young boy she can buy cellphones for. Randy & Simon both said yes. Taylor Hicks started going grey when he was like 14 or 15. He sang 'A Change is Gonna Come' & he was unbelievably good. Paula said she didn't expect that. She asked him to sing something else & I think they wanted him to do something current but he did another song that was from the same realm & I don't know the name of it. Randy Jackson liked him. The Bachelor - 1/30: There would be 2 one-on-one dates this week & 1 group date. The twist is Jennifer & Shiloh got to come back & like Travis' friends, they questioned the remaining girls & would get to pick the 2 dates. They told Tara she has been drunk 3 out of the 4 times she has been w/ the Bachelor. They said Susan is there cuz she's an actress. Then they leapt on Moana & questioned her reason for being there. They said she didn't even like the Bachelor & then did a complete 180. Moana rambles something off but I didn't understand her. Jehan got the 1st date. They went to get food for a picnic by the Eiffel Tower. Travis also bought her a necklace w/ the tower on it for a momento. & then she drops a bomb. She has been married before. She said the guy deceived her & married her cuz he needed to to stay in the country. Summary continued here

Beauty and the Geek 2 - 2/2: Danielle was really excited that Tristin was the one to come back. Brittany was disappointed to see Chris return. When asked about the questions she had to answer, Tristin said she didn't want to talk about it. She did brag that she went 3 for 3. Ankur thinks Cher is there just for the money. The guys are there for something more. Cher said the money could change her life & she wouldn't have to work 3 jobs. Josh looks at this as "The Josh Challenge". He can't bring himself to get in the hot tub but takes a small step & puts his feet in. Summary continued here

The Biggest Loser Special Edition - 2/1: The Restaurateur families are back at home to train on their own for about 6 months. Both got gym equipment & their kitchens stocked w/ healthy food. They both also have trouble w/ their workouts at times & question their progress. Toni & Alexa from Red Team don't seem to be doing much as Daniela & Robbie have lost a lot while they look the same. Bob & Jillian show up to check on their teams & train them for a day. Emily said she needed his motivation. Bob was most surprised by Scott's progress. He brought them turkey burgers. Bob was pissed when he found out Kelly is smoking. He harped on her about it & eventually she caved & said she would quit if he let her stop the workout. Summary continued here

Dancing With the Stars 2 - 2/2: Tonight everyone would perform 2 dances. They would so the Samba w/ their partner that would be judged & then everyone would do a group Salsa. Stacy & Tony danced to 'Bootylicious'. Stacy said it tickled to shake her butt so much. Len said they never disappoint. Carrie Ann said she didn't like them last week but gave them a standing ovation this week. She thinks Stacy is getting better than some of their pro's. Bruno said Stacy is a "weapon of mass seduction". All 3 judges gave a 10. I didn't think this performance warranted a perfect score but what do I know? Summary continued here

The Gauntlet 2 - 1/30: Jillian tells Susie & Cara that she was the one to tattle to Queen Kina. Seems no one has put together that this slut was just playing both sides. There really wasn't a real alliance & Jillian just told her Queen that to get in good w/ her & her alliance. Cara really wants to talk the whole thing out w/ her Queen but Snatch Kina will hear none of it. Jillian doesn't help matters by backpeddling to both sides. I don't think Jillian knows what really happened since she lied so much. No matter. Queen Snatch doesn't care about the truth & tells Cara to drop it. The challenge was called "Balancing Act". They had to walk across ropes that were 20-feet in the air w/ a partner while holding onto a rope between the 2 of them. The team to get the most players across in the shortest time would win. Alton & Landon went first for the Rookies & that was all it took. It took them a couple tries but finally they made it across in 11:28. No other team was able to make it across. Skating With Celebrities - 1/30: The scores are cleared & it's anyone's game this week. The new requirement is a one-legged lunge. The theme is Motown. Jillian & John skate first to 'Get Ready'. He lifted her a lot & she seemed very awkward. At the end he fell. Mark said they weren't together. John said they were foolishly ambitious. Dorothy said they are the strongest team. Even though John fell, they still got decent scores. For technical John gave 8.3, Dorothy 8.4, Mark 8.4. For Artistic the scores were 8.2, 8.2. 8.3. Their total was 49.8. Bruce & Tai skated to 'Endless Love'. The did a "death spiral" & it was good. Dorothy said she admires Bruce & his skating skills are better. John disagreed with the other judges & thought Bruce was awkward. For Technical they got 8.2, 8.2. 8.5. For Artistic they got 8.5, 8.3, 8.4. A total of 50.1. So Jillian & John are still in last place. Dave & Nancy skated to 'I Just Want To Celebrate'. These 2 just want to have fun & laugh all the time. After being told last week to find his "feminine side" Dave came out dressed as a chick. It was so funny. He looked like Fred dressing up like Wilma. Summary continued here

Each week one person from the losing tribe will banish one of their members to spend the night there w/ meager supplies. But wait! There's more. An Immunity Idol is hidden somewhere on the island. If found, the person can wait till AFTER the votes have been cast before using it. The person w/ the next highest amount of votes will be out. The go right to their first Reward Challenge. Each Tribe has to pick a runner to compete. They will have to smash skulls looking for 1 of 3 amulets.
